What makes living at The Cloisters Retirement Village so special?
Like you, your neighbours at The Cloisters Retirement Village moved to here to enjoy a peaceful and secure life. This common purpose is crucial to achieving the special sense of community, and mutual respect and support found at The Cloisters Retirement Village. You will no longer have to worry about noisy families living next door, or groups of youngsters outside your home.
I have always loved pottering around in my garden, but now it is too large for me to manage. Will I be able to do a little gardening when I live at The Cloisters Retirement Village?
All properties have their own outside areas which you can look after, and personalise with flowers, seats etc. If you do not want to look after your outside area, we will look after it for you.
We look after the extensive landscaped gardens and there are plenty of sitting areas so you can enjoy the grounds.
How safe will I be at The Cloisters Retirement Village?
We aim to achieve a balance between helping you to live independently, and providing a secure environment. You will have your own lockable front door, but, in an emergency situation, we are able to enter your home to provide assistance.
You will have a telephone system which provides 24 hour emergency assistance. Extensive security and emergency lighting also gives peace of mind.
What happens about major repairs?
The only property costs you are responsible for are telephone / WI-FI, TV licence, heat and light, rates, contents insurance, the internal upkeep of your property, and of course the service charge.
My car is very important in helping me to stay independent. Will I be able to keep my car?
We have spaces reserved for residents' cars and spaces allocated for your visitors to use.
